あやかしごはん Ayakashi Gohan ~ Yomi

Hey~ So here’s Yomi’s route finally. I wrote up a lot and gave as much detail as possible. He has a total of 3 endings. A best end, good end, and tragic love end (basically a bad end). The good end doesn’t have a CG though.

image

Yomi is the twin bother of Uta who is much more serious and stricter than him. He doesn’t like meat like Uta does and prefers eating dishes with lots of vegetables. He doesn’t try to get close to others and he constantly states he hates humans and thinks they’re selfish beings. He prefers to be alone so always reluctantly joins everyone for dinner. He also finds Rin’s really energetic ways to be annoying too. Plus he’s a total tsundere. He’s voiced by Yuki Kaji whom I may add did an amazing job as him. His route starts off during the Christmas Party.

During the Christmas Party, Rin notices Yomi is pretty far from everyone else and tries to make him move closer next to her. She asks why he’s making such a mad face and he says he always looks that way. She says he looks more angrier than usual since its a special party today. He says everyone being all cheery is annoying. Its always like this at this time of year and he gets tired of it. Rin says of course everyone is going to get more cheery around Christmas. Yomi asks what the hell Christmas is anyway. He had no interest in it so he didn’t care to know. Rin explains to Yomi that she thinks Christmas is the foreign God’s birthday. She doesn’t know the details but understands that its a happy festive time that families spend happily together. And also that its special for lovers too since they exchange gifts with each other. Yomi thinks its weird and pointless to spend time together whether it be family or lovers. Rin asks why he feels that why since she thinks its wonderful to be able to spend such a happy time together. He wonders why people would want to be together.

Before Rin knows it Yomi had stopped eating. He doesn’t understand why anyone would want to be together with someone. He believes being alone is much more comfortable. Which is why it annoys him to watch humans cling together so happily. He feels it has no purpose. He believes being alone is a much more quiet lifestyle and would hate wasting time with someone else. Rin then asks if he feels lonely around everyone else. And he gazes at her but looks way. He says he’s not lonely and to not speak such idiotic words. Rin says she thinks he’s a bit wrong when he says he likes being alone. If everyone were to just disappear he’d probably be lonely.

Suddenly Yomi gets pissed and starts yelling saying she’s wrong and to not talk like she understands him. Rin apologizes and he just looks away. After a long silence Rin yells out “Snow!” and it makes Yomi jump. She got all excited and dragged Yomi out to watch the snow fall. Yomi is all annoyed saying its cold but Rin is all excited since its the first time she witnessed a White Christmas before. Yomi asks what that is and Rin tells him its when it snows on Christmas. Yomi’s first response is “So?”and Rin says cause its romantic. Yomi doesn’t think so at all and says he wants to go back inside. He then asks what the point of coming out here was and she says because she wanted to watch the snow with him. He asks why and she says she doesn’t really know and he calls her weird. She says she wanted to see the pretty snow together but he says he’d rather not be involved since its annoying. Rin then tells him he doesn’t understand a girl’s heart. Where he retorts…

image

Yomi: “where? I don’t see any girl.”
Rin: “Right here!”
Yomi: “Where?” I can’t see them. If its this person here they’re a pretty vicious woman.”

Rin then apologizes sarcastically saying that of course a child like Yomi wouldn’t understand her feelings. He says he’s not a child but an Ayakashi and has lived much longer than her. She says it doesn’t matter if he is cause he’s still a child. She then goes on saying its a girl’s dream to see a White Christmas with their lover.

Suddenly, Yomi gets really close and asks what she’d want her lover to do. He starts getting really close and she says holding hands or hugging each other. He asks if thats all and she starts to hesitate on her words since he’s acting so strange. He asks what else and hesitantly tells him they’d kiss. His face gets closer as if to kiss her but suddenly says “Just kidding.” and tells her she should see that stupid look on her face. (」゜ロ゜)」((WHY WOULD YOU…))

He says there’s no way he’d do that and she totally fell for it. He tells her he doesn’t see how something like that could be fun and the only child here is her. Rin then realized he was making fun of her and pushed Yomi to the ground. She asked him why he’d do something like that and he said the same goes for him since he was only teasing her. She then starts throwing snow at him saying he’s the worst and calling him an idiot.

Yomi doesn’t understand why she’s so mad and then Gin and Uta appears hearing all the commotion. They ask whats going on and Uta’s all “Yomi?!” when he sees him covered with snow. Gin says they should come back inside since he’ll make a warm drink for her but Rin says she’s tired so she’s going to go back to her room for now. As she’s leaving she feels Yomi look back at her as if wanting to talk back but left without saying a word. Everyone is confused and ask Yomi whats wrong with her but Yomi says he has no idea.

Afterwords Yomi and Uta are talking to each other upstairs. Uta asks Yomi what happened and he says he just teased her a bit and doesn’t get why she got so mad. Uta then says she looked pretty pissed so he should take care of it either way and reluctantly Yomi says he will. He says goodnight and Yomi thinks to himself how he doesn’t get how she was so mad about it so he doesn’t even know what he should say.

A day later and Rin still hasn’t talked properly with Yomi. She knows she can’t stay locked up in her room forever so she goes out and unexpectedly runs into Yomi. They both awkwardly say good morning to each other and the conversatio ends there. She doesn’t understand why she was so mad but even so. She goes on ahead and he calls out to her but she pretends not to hear it.

A few days pass after the Christmas party and the end of the year approaches. Now everyone has to get ready to start cleaning around the house. Uta and Yomi aren’t too pleased about it as much as Rin and the rest of them are. Though Gin motivates Uta through food. Since time has passed Rin is no longer angry but she wants to reconcile with Yomi but doesn’t know what she should say. She believes Yomi is the one who should be apologizing in the first place. She looks over at Yomi awkwardly but can’t say a word and keeps silent. He looks back and awkwardly looks away.

Soon Gin starts giving instructions on cleaning. He’ll be cleaning the kitchen and after cleaning the shop he’ll have Manatsu and Suzuri weed the garden. He says Uta will clean the second floor and living room. Rin asks what she should do and Gin tells her to clean the third floor. Yomi asks as well and Gin tells him he should help her with it. He says cleaning the 3rd floor is tough for just one girl. Yomi and Rin protest but Gin says his orders are absolute.

So with much awkward silence, Rin and Yomi clean the third floor together. While cleaning they kept making glances at each other but quickly averting themselves. Its then suddenly Rin who’s all absentminded slips on the floor she just cleaned. Yomi yells out to hear and while trying to grab on to him she loses her balance and falls over along with Yomi. Once she opens her eyes she realizes she’s so close to him and he asks if she’s okay. Though the conversation ends there since they both speechlessly look at each other blushing since their faces are so close. Yomi immediately jumped back away. They awkwardly stand in silence while blushing and Yomi suddenly breaks the silence by apologizing.

Yomi: “I’m sorry.”
Rin: “Huh?”
Yomi: “For the other day. I’m sorry.”
Yomi: “I made fun of you during Christmas. I shouldn’t have.”

Rin is surprised that he’d suddenly apologize like that. He says he doesn’t really understand that well why she was so upset. But earlier when they fell their faces were close. And that shook him up a bit. So he understood that if something like that happened so suddenly it’d make her so surprised.

Rin: “So you decided you’d apologize?
Yomi: “Y-Yeah, is that so bad?”

Rin laughs and says he’s weird. Yomi is all flustered and tells her not to laugh. She says its just strange to hear him say that but she’s happy that he apologized. She then holds out her hand to him. He’s all confused and she tells him its a handshake of reconciliation. He hesitates but shakes her hand. He asks what the point of this is but she tells him its to confirm their friendship with each other. Yomi thinks humans are strange for doing something like that. But he slightly laughs about it. Suddenly Rin gets the ドキドキ as she sees him smile like that. Yomi asks whats wrong since she looks so absentminded but she says its nothing. She says she’s really glad she was able to reconcile with him. Yomi asks if she was angry but she says she was of course but she hated not being able to talk to him. So she wanted to reconcile as soon as possible. She said she was always looking for a chance to say something so falling down actually seemed pretty lucky. Yomi mentions that her carelessness seemed to be useful somehow. And she laughs saying thats true but she’s really glad she’s able to talk to him again. Right after she says that Yomi whispers “Me too” while blushing.

image

Rin didn’t catch what he said and when she asked him he said it was nothing. He starts being harsh saying it was much more quiet when he didn’t have her talking all the time ((clearly to hide his embarrassment pfff)). Rin starts pinching his cheeks as payback and then he starts doing the same.Soon the bunch of dorks realize their faces are so close that they stop pinching each other and just gaze while blushing.

All too soon, Uta asks whats going on since they’re being so loud. Yomi says there’s nothing wrong and they’ll be done cleaning soon. Right after he leaves Yomi says they must’ve looked weird in that position and Rin agrees. Right after they look at each other and start laughing. The mood between them is a lot better and Rin says they should probably get cleaning. Yomi says Gin will probably get mad if they don’t.

After coming down stairs they all finally finished cleaning. They’ll be eating a meal afterwords so Gin tells them to recollect all the cleaning supplies. They all agree and Yomi tells Rin to come with her.

Gin, Manatsu, and Suzuri all notice they’ve been getting along so assumed they must have reconciled.

Finally, New Years Eve is today. Because of this the shop was very busy in the kitchen. They’re preparing lots of food for New Years. After finishing preparing it all, Yomi and Rin went out to the shopping street together to get some ingredients from Manatsu’s shop.Yomi’s carrying quite a bit back and Rin asks if she can help carry some stuff too but he says its fine and he’s not so wimpy to need help from her. She then thanks him and he blushes asking whats with her all of a sudden. She says he probably doesn’t want her to carry it cause its heavy so he’s actually being really nice. He obviously says she’s wrong but she laughs. He asks why she’s laughing but she says no reason. He calls her weird and says he’s glad he doesn’t have to hear her blabbing on at least. She then notices its pretty busy today and Yomi mentions its because its the last day before New Years Eve and shops will close on the actual day. He says she better not of forgotten to buy anything and she says she didn’t.

They soon arrive near the river and Rin mentions how this year is almost over and it always feel mysterious when a new year is about to start. Yomi doesn’t think so since its just a beginning to an end and it doesn’t apply to Ayakashi. He doesn’t get excited about it at all and he doesn’t understand why she’d make a fuss over it. She says she doesn’t really know why but she always feels excited and a little lonely when New Years comes around. Something starting and ending gives a lot of overwhelming feelings including being excited and feeling lonely. Yomi says he can kind of understand since she’s always been so overly hyper over the past few months. And it still hasn’t changed since today. Rin says he’s mean and he says its true.

Soon they’re at the dinner table for the last time of the year. Gin made food with lots of meat for Uta and lots of vegetables for Yomi. Rin decided that’d she’d grow another stomach just to eat more. Uta says she’s gonna get fat but Rin says its a special occasion. Its already been half a year since Rin arrived in this village and it feels just like the other day to her. She mentions she’s seen every season so far except for spring. They say the flowers bloom around spring and Rin is really looking forward to seeing it Gin looks a bit sad but mentions when spring comes around they should all go out together to eat boxed lunch.

Soon after they’re all waiting for the New Years countdown. Once they hear the bell, its 12:00 and they all wish each other a Happy New Year.

Later that night Rin is so excited from New Years she can’t sleep so she goes downstairs to get a warm drink. She gets some tea and there she encounters Yomi who asks why she’s up so late. She says she couldn’t sleep and offers Yomi some tea. He agrees to have some with her and Rin wonders why he’s awake. He said he heard her come downstairs but he hadn’t slept before that. He asked why she hadn’t slept and she says because of all that happened today.

She always spent New Years alone because her mother worked. But now she had a lot of fun and even though she’s gone now, she still has him and everyone else. Yomi then says it can’t last this way forever. An end will come by any means. He asks if she still finds it fun though. Rin thinks it still is but Yomi thinks if its going to all end in the first place then there’s no point in enjoying it so much. Rin looks at Yomi and is reminded of back at the Christmas party where he looked really lonely. She doesn’t understand why he thinks that way all the time. Rin tells him that she wants to enjoy life as much as possible and always look back on great memories. She’s had sad times but is always able to work hard to get back on her feet because she can just get up do it over again. She believes its fun now and will never regret it.

Yomi says he doesn’t really get it but her way of thinking isn’t bad. He tells her she’s different from all those annoying human and she’s stronger than he thought she was. Rin gets the ドキドキ feels from seeing his smile and says thats not true at all and that she’s able to be so happy because of Yomi right now and everyone else. She feels when they’re eating together she’s much more happier. Like Yomi drinking tea with her makes the tea much more delicious. Because she’s together with him she can feel a lot happier. Yomi blushes when he hears this. Rin says its about who you’re with to make you happy and she’s happy with Yomi. She thanks him for staying together with her and he blushes saying he doesn’t get her at all.

Rin realizes she always feels different around Yomi. She gets a warm feeling in her heart and always feels at peace. She thinks to herself whether Yomi feels the same way. And she’d be happy if he does. Soon after some silence Rin realizes its almost morning and suggests to Yomi that they watch the first sunrise of the year. Yomi is obviously reluctant but sighs saying he knows he won’t hear the end of it if he refuses. He smiles saying he’ll go. He also says, “its already the new year and you’re as noisy as ever…But I don’t dislike it….” obviously he mutters that last part to himself.

Afterwords they bundle up and sneak outside and climb the mountain. Rin thinks its the best way to view the sunset since its the highest place in the village. Yomi obviously complains saying its a hassle since its so cold outside. Rin tells him he’s the one who said he’d go but Yomi obviously makes excuses like he wouldn’t hear the end of it from her and Gin would get mad at him if she got hurt going by herself. Rin thanks him for coming with him but he sighs calling her idiot and a pain. Though his face didn’t look all that annoyed while saying it. They arrive where the Cherry Blossom tree is and Rin says its the best place since they have both the tree and the sunrise to view.

Rin then sneezes and Yomi asks if she’s cold. She says she is a little cold but she was fine while walking up the mountain. But she reassures him she’s fine anyway. Yomi notices she’s just trying to play it cool and that she’ll catch a cold. So he draws her close to him and puts his arm around her. He says she should feel a little better if they’re close like this.

Obviously Rin gets pretty warmed up once he does this. He tells Rin that the sun is about to rise so she better not miss it after the trouble they went through coming here. They silent stare at the sky waiting for the sun to rise as Rin gets lots of ドキドキ happy feels. Soon the sunrises and Rin in awe tells Yomi to look and he’s all “yeah, yeah I see it.” She tells him he should appreciate it more and he happily tells her he knows its pretty so don’t speak so loud in his ear, pfsh. Rin is still gushing over it and Yomi says it wasn’t so bad after all. Rin then thanks him for coming to see it with her and gives her best regards for the coming year to him. He asks why she’s being so formal and she says its important so he gives a small smile and tells her he gives his best regards as well. After words they walked home and Rin even slipped on her way home cause she was so excited and Yomi got mad and had to help her. (。・//ε//・。)

Once they were inside they had to sneak in to make sure no one woke up. Rin says she had a great time and ask if Yomi felt the same way. He says he guesses it was but they should head back to their rooms before Gin or anyone else wakes up. He asks if she’s satisfied and she says she is and thanks him again for coming with her. They both say goodnight to each other but just before Yomi leaves he calls out to her and tells her he doesn’t think it was a waste of time then tells her goodnight. Rin is really happy when she hears this and feels this coming year will be a wonderful one.

January
———-

It was finally New Years day and both Rin and Yomi overselpt since they stayed up all night. Gin was pretty pissed and Uta had to go wake them both up. Rin and Yomi meet up on the stairwell mentioning they should keep the fact they sneaked out together a secret. Soon after they go downstairs they enjoy some New Year dishes. Manatsu soon arrives for a delivery but declines Gin’s offer to eat with them since he’s already got New Year dishes to eat a home. He then gives Suzuri a New Years gift and then Suzuri asks when everyone elses gifts are and everyone else starts wanting a gift from him too. Manatsu hesitantly laughs and says he’ll give them a special service from their shop.

After Manatsu left they all went to visit the shrine together. Uta wonders if its okay for them to be drinking Amazake but she mentions it doesn’t have any alcohol cause even Suzuri is drinking it. She also mentions its good for your face. Uta makes fun of her thinking there’s no way that’d be the case for her. He pokes her cheek saying she’d just drink it cause its sweet and she’ll gain wait cause she’s such a heavy eater. Rin gets annoyed and says she’ll be taking her leave. She’s not really mad but finds it annoying since she’s still a growing girl. She then confronts Yomi asking him that no way thats true. Yomi says he doesn’t know nor care. Being fat or thin is a human’s problem. While saying he doesn’t really care he does mention that he agrees she is a pretty heavy eater. Uta laughs saying “See? Even Yomi agrees.” He then teases her again by poking her cheek and calling her a glutton. Rin groans in annoyance. Once Rin walks away poking Uta in return she feels eyes watching her and notices Yomi standing there and asks if there’s something wrong and he says no.

Uta asks if his stomach hurts and Yomi says no he’s just disgusted by all the humans around here. Rin scolds him telling him to come join everyone else but he refuses and she just takes his hand and pulls him with her anyway.

After words they go pray at the shrine and Rin asks what Yomi wished for. He says he didn’t wish for anything because it’d be strange for an Ayakashi like him to ask for God’s help. He thinks humans are selfish for always turning to God for help in the first place. Rin starts thinking to herself if something happened for him to hate humans so much but then Yomi asks what she wished for. She says she wished to spend every day happily with Yomi and the others.

She also asked for her and Yomi to become better friends. He makes an annoyed look and doesn’t think those sound like things you should be asking a God for. Just then Haginosuke appeared greeting them both. Apparently he’s helping at the shrine since he lives there. It gets really busy around this time of year so he’s gotten used to it. Rin asks if he needs any help and he says he’s fine and he doesn’t want to interrupt their date.

Yomi’s the only one who gets flustered and asks what the heck he’s talking about since there’s no way that’s the case. Haginosuke says he was kidding and asks if they pulled a fortune yet. Rin tells them they haven’t and suggests that they go do that. Haginosuke has more work to take care of and leaves.

Once they go back to pull fortunes Rin got one with “terrible luck.” Everyone says they feel bad that she’d pull such a fortune but Gin tries to cheer her up. Yomi also tells her its just a fortune and its not like her to sulk about things anyway. Rin felt much better with everyone trying to cheer her up. Rin later asks Yomi to come see the Cherry Blossom tree with her since it’ll be a whole different atmosphere from usual.

He reluctantly agrees and Rin thanks him. Now that they visited Rin feels a lot better better. But just after Rin was feeling more cheerful she felt a strange presence beside the Cherry Blossom Tree.Yomi notices it too and apparently they’re being watched by another Ayakashi from not too far way. Yomi suggests they leave and as they’re walking back he senses another presence near the shrine that isn’t a God but rather a person. Rin thinks they should check it out but he says its too dangerous. But she persists and says she wants to know if its dangerous or not.

He reluctantly agrees for her to come but tells her if its someone dangerous to hide and not come out unless he says so.

While in hiding they find Kami-sama having a conversation with an Ayakashi. They mention a young woman and Kami-sama mentions that there’s no way something would happen but don’t understand what they’re talking about. Not heeding Yomi’s orders, Rin suddenly dashes out in front of them telling them to be calm and not fight. Apparently the Ayakashi’s name is Guren (A tengu that rules the mountains); Yomi gets pissed at Rin for not listening to him and Guren notices that Rin is the woman that he was talking about just then. Kami-sama claims the weren’t arguing but Guren’s interest is perked when he notices Rin. He draws closer to her grabbing her chin and saying she looks even better up close. He then claims he’d make her his bride ((what is this Hakuouki???)) He tells her he was just talking about her; apparently he fell in love with her right when he saw her by the Cherry Blossom tree.

Apparently Kami-sama told him there’s no way that’d happen. Rin’s all “What the heck are you talking about?!” and he tells her to rest assure that a Tengu would treasure their bride. Rin then shakes his hand away and tells him too bad cause she doesn’t intend to become his bride. Guren just says that he likes a feisty woman even more. Suddenly Yomi bursts out for him to cut the bullshit. He knows Tengu have a bad habit of picking brides of their own free will but Rin has nothing to do with it. Guren asks who the annoying mutt is and Yomi forcefully grabs Rin’s hand to try and leave. Guren tells him to stop being a selfish brat and that that woman is his bride.

Yomi asks why he’d even like her in the first place. She complains a lot, eats a lot, is rash, and violent. She’d only trouble him. She told him he’s exaggerating and Yomi tells her to be quiet. But of course Guren isn’t turned off but rather amused and thinks he’d have a good time with such a strong natured woman. He tells Guren he has bad taste and Guren says its a man’s pleasure. But a boy like him wouldn’t understand. He wonders why he’s angry in the first place and asks if he’s in love with her. Rin is surprised and looks directly at Yomi. He replies telling him that’s ridiculous and he’d never associate with her. He then drags Rin away leaving Guren and Kami-sama together. Kami-sama begs him to give up on her but he’s only gotten more interested and will obviously be back again.

Once they get home they talk about how a lot happened today. Yomi says viewing the sunset was nice but got pissed when that Tengu Guren appeared. Rin agreed that she was pretty surprised he tried to make her his bride. Yomi sighs and while she asks whats wrong he just replies saying its nothing. After some silence Rin starts to doze off and eventually falls asleep. Yomi notices and figured she’d be tired since they stayed up all night, but long after Yomi falls asleep along with her. Afterwords Gin and the others notice them and put a blanket over them wishing them sweet dreams.

Now the winter break has ended and a new school term has started. They encounter Haginosuke again at school and he mentions New Years was really busy that he didn’t have time to go looking for any Ayakashi. Uta whispers “They’re right in front of you” but obviously not hearing it he asks what he said and Uta says he’s an idiot. Pffpfsh. After school there was a unexpected visitor as Rin was about to leave.

image

Guren had been waiting for her after school. Uta heard from Rin that he’s the Tengu who wanted to make Rin his bride. Guren ignores the other two and looks directly at Rin formally adressing her name. Rin tells him not to use her name so casually but he just laughs saying she’s as strong natured as ever. Apparently he came to tell her he wants to take her to his hometown. Rin tells him to stop joking around and there’s no way she’ll do that. He obviously doesn’t listen and says she has no choice in the matter. Just as he’s about to grab her, Yomi swung his hand away and tells him to listen to what she just said and stop trying to make her own decisions. He tells him that she’s rejected him so he should just give it up already. Guren says he didn’t ask him and turns to Rin asking if she really means it and she says she absolutely does. He tells her in that case he’ll just have to make her want to. But he’ll obtain her with any means necessary. Rin thinks he’s utterly annoying but Yomi tells her that he’s not just annoying, he’s serious about this so she shouldn’t take it lightly. Rin agrees but she’s not sure what she should do. For now they decided to talk to Gin about it.

Once they get home Rin was about to tell Gin about their situation but apparently Kami-sama was already there and had explained the situation. According to Kami-sama, Guren is from a clan of Yamagami (a mountain god) who governs the mountain integrated part of the village. The tengu had a strong power from ancient times, and governed the territory in a way peculiar to them. Therefore, Kami-sama cannot easily interfere.

They’re descendants come from taking humans as brides since long ago. Guren is one of those who was birthed from a human and a tengu. Since long ago Tengu’s had the right to descend from the mountain to obtain a human girl as their bride. Apparently its been a custom since old times. As compensation for taking a bride, the mountains would be made healthy and enriched. The village mayor had accepted these conditions from generation to generation. Rin thinks its too cruel for it to be that way.

Apparently Yomi knew about it but didn’t think it’d happen for a while. Kami-sama explains that there’s been a decrease in religious humans. So they haven’t been able to recieve a bride for the Tengu. So if they don’t have a bride, they can’t leave behind any of their kind. He’s always protested against it but the Tengu won’t listen. He managed to presuade them for a little time but thats all he could before they got impatient. Tengu are much more fierce than Ayakashi. With the way things are going he’s worried he’ll just kidnap without a second thought. Guren is apparently one of the higher class Tengu and enjoy’s and tyrannic and violent nature person. Kami-sama apologizes he doesn’t have the power to help her but she tells him its okay and she’ll surely manage somehow. Yomi tells her its not that easy since he’s Tengu. But Rin says she’ll keep refusing him so he’s bound to give up eventually.

Later that day Rin’s about to come downstairs when hears Kami-sama and the others talking in the living room. They all know how Guren isn’t likely to give up so easily so Kami-sama relies on Yomi to protect Rin. Once Gin personally asks him he agrees saying he doesn’t like him and doesn’t think he’s suitable for Rin anyway.

From then on Guren often visited Rin to try and convince her. He’d appear and try and make a move but left before it became a huge commotion. And again he appeared on a later day. Yomi keeps Rin behind her telling him to give up already, but Guren wonders how long he’ll be hanging around to guard Rin and he says as long as it takes to make him leave. He says he hates people like him who doesn’t caare about anything but their own desires. Guren doesn’t back down and asks why he even bothers when he has no great power to begin with.

Rin pops out from behind Yomi tells him not to insult him. Guren just laughs and says she really is fitting for his bride. Just as they’re about to leave Rin tells him to just give up already. She doesn’t love him and doesn’t want to marry him either. He should just return to the mountain already. Guren says things like that don’t matter to him. But Rin thinks marriage should be between people who actually love each other. Guren says it doesn’t matter since he’ll have her fall in love with him after she becomes his bride. And usual he follows them back but leaves right before they go home. But he mentions he will have her. Yomi yells at him to never come back.

As time passes Guren has constantly appeared to try and take Rin. While at home, Rin feels troubled by the fact everyone is going so far just for her. She hates having to trouble everyone else for this and starts thinking maybe if she did become his bride it’d stop. Just as she thinks this Yomi tells her to stop thinking stupid thoughts, clearly knowing what she had just thought. It’d be a big mistake for her to do something like that. Everyone else agrees saying that something like that is not best for her and it’d only make her an unhappy person. So she shouldn’t be worrying about it so much.

Rin remembers what Guren had said when he asked why he was so interested in her. He likes lively, loud, women and if he doesn’t want to be his bride so much he should present to him another woman. But she knows she wouldn’t be able to do something like that. For now all they can do is be cautious and look out for her. That night Rin couldn’t sleep so she went downstairs to get a drink. There she encountered Yomi who got up cause he heard her. She apologizes for waking him up and he says he doesn’t mind. He then remembers they had a similar conversation before and Rin agrees saying it was when they watched the first New Year sunrise.

Yomi mentions the situation is different now though. Rin starts to feel bad about and Yomi tells her not to worry so much about it. They’re not so weak to give in to Guren so easily. Rin wonders if he could read her feelings and he says its not really that its just obvious when she’s like that cause she’s so happy-go-lucky all the time. Rin says she should be more cautious in trying to hide it but Yomi says it doesn’t matter since its better if she shows her true feelings rather than lie about it. He also mutters while blushing that its not that big of a deal. He hides his embarrassed by saying she’s too much of an idiot to hide anything. She protests but they laugh about it. He tells her happy-go-lucky personality is annoying but he doesn’t mind it. Because it feels out of place when she so down. He then tells her she needs to be careful and to not leave his side or go wonder away without permission. Rin says she’ll absolutely be careful and they both then say goodnight to each other and Rin stands there with lots of ドキドキ feels.

A few days later after walking home from school they noticed Guren hadn’t appeared today. Uta thinks he may have given up but Yomi tells him not to let his guard down. Just then Yomi and Uta hear a voice and apparently its Kami-sama calling for Yomi. He doesn’t know why he wants Yomi alone, but he tells Uta to make sure Rin gets home safely and to not leave the house.

Once Rin gets home Uta is sleeping and Suzuri is drawing a picture of Yomi, heh. It’d been a while since Yomi was gone and Rin was getting a bit worried. Though she felt reassured that she was safe for the time being. Just then Gin asked if Rin could grab some laundry that was out to dry outside.

Just as she was doing so a strong wind blew a towel outside of the house. Just as she left she remember that Yomi told her not to leave the house. She then immediately went to find the towel. Once she picked it up though Guren appeared in front of her. Apparently he was the one who made the wind blow the towel away. It was a trap to lure her out of the house while Yomi was away. Unfortunately, there was no one to help Rin now so Guren snatched her up and took her away.

Next scene it shows Yomi shouting for Rin. Uta and Rin can’t find her anywhere. They notice the landrary and retrace her steps to find the towel that blew away. They both could smell Rin and Guren’s presence there and figured he must have taken her. They hurry home to tell Gin.

Rin wakes up at Guren’s hometown, or rather his base. He says its been a long time since they had a bride some the elder will be very pleased and they’ll have a grand feast. Rin gets pissed and sick of this and says she’s going back to the village. Guren then grabs Rin and she tells him to let go of her and even bites him. She then pushed him away with all her might and began to run away. While she’s running through the woods she knows Guren is probably pursuing her now. And she only thinks of trying to get back to the village and to see Yomi again. But as she’s running, she realizes her feet leave the ground and she falls off a cliff. Her body rolls down and hits the bottom. She blacks out and is unable to get up.

She a sort of dream where Yomi is standing there but she can’t move, and as she’s standing he begins to walk away with her calling out to him to come him back. Just as he’s walking away, a bell sound is heard and he turns back around to face her. Its then Rin begins to wake up from her dream.

She hears Yomi yelling at her to get a hold of herself as she wakes up. As she opens her eyes there stood Yomi in front of her. Yomi looks really worried and Rin apologizes asking if she worried him since he came all that way to find her. (´Д`。)

He then interrupts her by hugging her tightly, calling her an idiot. She almost died and he was really worried about her. By looking at his clothes that were covered in dirt she realized he had been searching for her the entire time. She then returns his hug telling him she’s sorry and thanks for coming to help her. He tells her to stop talking already because he already knows. They then hear everyone else calling. Yomi parts from Rin and yells out that he found her.

He quietly apologizes to Rin after hugging her while blushing since he inadvertently hugged her in the moment. Rin says she is too since she also did. He asks if she’s okay since she fell off a cliff and apparently she spranged her wrist. Yomi says its not broken so he’ll have Gin look at it later. Soon after Gin and Uta appear relieved to see that Rin is safe. Rin tries to apologize but Gin says its not her fault but Guren. He’s the one who tricked her and he should’ve been more cautious.

Uta soon interupts their talk to tell them Guren has found them. And right after that a gust of wind blows and there stands Guren. Yomi is pissed to see him and Guren tells them he doesn’t have time for them and he’s here to take Rin back as his bride. Gin tells Rin who’s troubled its okay since everyone else will protect her now.

Gin tells Guren he’s disappointed in him. The Tengu clan is a high class clan and while he may be tyrannical but he’s still an Ayakashi of the village. He did not think he’d go to such lengths to torment Rin like this. Thanks to his selfishness he had hurt her in the process. Gin tells him not to involve himself with Rin any further. He seems intimated by Gin at first but then tells him to not make him laugh since he won’t be listening to him. He says Rin is the one at fault anyway for running away and not just marrying him already. Though he’s become to like her more and more.

Yomi then loses it and starts yelling at Guren tell him to stop talking bullshit. He never once tried to understand Rin’s feelings. And addition to that she almost died because of him. Guren tells him he’s exaggerating and it doesn’t matter either way since she’s alive now. Yomi says she only barely lived because humans are more fragile than Ayakashi. He thinks other Tengu would find him a disgrace. Guren starts to get angry and says it wouldn’t bother to kill him. Everyone else tells Yomi to stop edging him on but Yomi just calls him a disgrace again and says he’ll say it as many times as needed.

As Guren’s anger swells up he attacks Yomi with a blade of wind and Yomi is thrown at a tree. Just before he was about to attack Yomi again, Gin intervened and told Guren to not make him more angry than he already is. Guren finally resists and decides to retreat.

Once Guren had left Rin runs to Yomi’s side asking if he’s okay. He says he is but finds himself pathetic for not being able to do anything to Guren and without Gin’s help the situation would’ve been quite useless. Rin tells him thats not true at all and she was very happy for him to stick up for her. So she thanks him. Gin and Uta also tell him he was the one who found her in the first place so he wasn’t useless at all.

On their way back Rin asks Yomi how she found him in the first place. He tells her he heard her bell ring. Rin also remembers that she heard a bell in her dream. She then thanks Yomi again for finding her. Its then while standing there and looking at him she realizes she loves him. She’s always relieved around him and worried for him, because she loves him. She doesn’t know when it happened exactly but surely for a while now. He had been harsh at first but warmed up to her quickly. It was also him she yearned for when she ran from Guren. She wonders how she should speak with him him from now on. But she’s glad she realized it; even though she still worried about Guren, she got these feelings in return. She doesn’t know what she should do from now on but she wants to treasure these feelings.

Several days have passed and they’re hasn’t been any movement from Guren. Peaceful days pass. Gin says Guren has given up but Rin is completely convinced, and decides to keep her guard up. Yomi says they should go home now but Rin has after school duties. While Rin’s in thought she stops writing her in journal and Yomi asks if she’s okay. She remembers she sprained her wrist earlier so he was probably worried about that. Rin says she’s fine but Yomi takes her journal and says he’ll write for her. She protests but he insists. Rin feels her face heat up giving off her feelings unintentionally. Since she’s been spending a lot of time with Yomi recently she hasn’t been able to conceal her feelings very well. She thanks him and he mentions her not to be so worried about Guren. Gin and the others won’t let him have his way any longer and they’ll always be protecting her. Though he feels he’d be useless since he couldn’t even touch him last time. But Rin tells him that its not true at all. He was the one who always kept helping her. He asks why she’s making such a face while placing a hand on her cheek. Rin feels her face warm up and is about to tell Yomi something but Yomi removes his hand and sighs. His kindness is true but he always puts a wall between them. He then says they should head home now. She wants to get closer to him somehow but doesn’t know how to.

One day Gin was resting while Yomi and Rin were in the living room. Rin offered Yomi some tea while he was reading a book. Rin starts thinking about how happy she is being with Yomi right now. She then calls out to Yomi and tells him she’s happy with him and she wants to stay that way forever. She asks if he always wants to be with her as well. Yomi suddenly has a sullen look and asks why she would say something unreasonable like that. Humans die too quickly and a promise is pointless when they die quicker than he would. He then tells her not to say “forever” since that word doesn’t exist for humans.

After Yomi leaves Rin tells Gin she may have made him mad. After he tells him what happened Gin says in order to over come the wall between humans and Ayakashi she needs to understand Yomi. So she tells her to consult to someone who does.

Then Rin leaves to talk to Kami-sama about Yomi. Rin asks him to tell her why Yomi looks so sad all the time. Kami-sama asks Rin if she loves Yomi and she says she does. He asks her if she understands that if she loves an Ayakashi they could live 1,000 years like Gin. And even while Rin grows older, Yomi won’t change. Rin doesn’t know how to feel about that yet but she knows she wants to understand Yomi first. She thinks its scary but she doesn’t want to run away from her feelings. She wants to understand his feelings and for him to understand hers. She doesn’t want to leave any regrets behind. She then decides to show Yomi’s past instead of explain it.

The flashback shows the small shrine a long time ago where Uta and Yomi used to be a normal pair of stone guardian dogs (Komainu) at the shrine. It showed lots of villagers giving their praise and thanks to the shrine since after they prayed at it their hopes and wishes had come true. Kids put flower crowns on the guardian dog statues and everyone respected it worshiped it daily. It then later showed an excited Uta and Yomi; whom were really happy to be praised by the children and hopes for their return again. Uta says of course they well and Yomi says he loves the village and wants to protect everyone in it.

Some time later, people began to lose faith and no one was visiting the shrine anymore. They were covered in mold due to no one ever cleaning the shrine. Only to have a child complain to them that their mother had not recovered from her illness. Yomi starts to lose faith and believe humans are very selfish and only want whats convenient for them. But 50 years later a child came to clean up the shrine and visit everyday. He grew up before long and still visit the shrine giving thanks and hopes for them to look after him for the coming years. Uta and Yomi begin to have faith in humans again. Yomi and Uta feel indebted to them and make it rain so that the young man could meet with a woman while sheltering from the rain. After a while the two people get married and give thanks to the shrine. They birth children and visit the shrine with them. They kept visiting every day but before long, they had died. No one was visiting the shrine, and Uta and Yomi felt lonely and despaired over the fact that humans die so quickly, hoping that someone will visit them already.

One day, some children visit. Yomi and Uta get excited and is hoping that it means that humans will come to visit them again. Unfortunately, these children only decide to wreck the place saying the shrine and stones are ugly. They throw the stones of Uta and Yomi to the ground and pieces of their single eyes break. They only wanted to protect humans yet they did such a thing with no second thought. Before long their emptiness and sadness had changed the two into Ayakashi. It then shows Yomi who has had enough of human’s cruel treatment. Uta says there’s no helping it and its their mission to protect the village. He says he hates humans too but this is a separate issue. Yomi disagrees and says he despises humans. He thinks they’re selfish and cruel and hopes they die already. He’ll never forgive them and he shouldn’ve trusted them in the first place. He doesn’t want to get hurt any longer. To protect his heart he’ll hate them all. ლ(´﹏`ლ)

Before Rin knew it, she had been crying. It was because of love he was hurt in the first place. Kami-sama tells Rin he wants her to heal Yomi’s heart since he knows she’s the only who can. She knows it’ll be sad to leave Yomi alone when she dies, but even so she wants to be with him. Kami-sama tells her he leaves Yomi to her and she thanks him while leaving. Once Rin returns home she confronts Yomi telling him she knows about his past thanks to Kami-sama. She says can understand a little but Yomi doesn’t believe any human could ever understand him and leaves.

Afterwords, her relationship with Yomi started to become more awkward. When she tries to approach him about it he leaves and can’t get any closer to him. As several days past women in the village begin to suddenly disappear. Kami-sama soon arrives and asks to speak with Gin outside. Rin sneaks out to hear their conversation. He explained the situation to Gin and that its most definitely Guren who’s been kidnapping the women recently.

When Rin hears that it was Guren’s work, she feels guilty that the women are being taken in her place and decides to leave and call out for Guren to speak with him. Once he appears she confirms with him that he was indeed the one to kidnap the women in her place. He’s kidnapped 7 women but none of them could see Ayakashi. Rin shouted at him with rage to for him return them all. Guren tells her if she becomes wife he will. She can’t escape him; because if she resists he’ll kidnap each of her friends one by one. She’s free to be that way but he tells her that means he’s free to do what he likes as well. He then suggests killing Yomi since he’s the one closest to her. Rin tells him to stop and is about to grab at him but her arm is caught by him. He tells her he likes her sad expression and tries to kiss her but Rin slaps his face away and escapes his grip. She tells him not to touch her and if he does that again he’ll bite his tongue. He gets annoyed and decides to leave for now, but she must choose to come to him if she wants the women to be returned.

Rin decides the best thing to do would to go with Guren. If she can protect Yomi that way, then she won’t hesitate. The only regrets she has now is that she still hasn’t told Yomi her feelings. Later that night, Rin is downstairs and Yomi comes down too noticing she’s awake. She says she couldn’t sleep and apologizes for waking up Yomi. He says he doesn’t mind and Rin offers him some tea. Rin tells him she knew Yomi would come downstairs since every time she gets up in the middle of the night he gets up too. Yomi says there isn’t really a reason for it but Rin says it makes her happy anyway. Yomi notices she looks pale and starts wondering if everything is okay. Clearly he sees right through her but she says she’s fine. Yomi knows she’s lying and tells her to do what she wants and as he’s about to leave Rin tells him to wait and hugs him from behind.

image

She tells him to listen to what she has to say. She’s been troubled with her feelings for a while now and says she loves him. She knows he’s an Ayakashi and she’s a human but her feelings won’t change because she really loves him. Yomi is left speechless while Rin tells him she’s really glad she could tell him this. Rin says she’s going to stay here for a while and that he should get to bed. He agrees still clearly flustered and leaves. Rin wishes she could tell him she’d like to be with him but knows that can’t happen so she silently cries to herself a bit. ヽ(*´Д`*)ノ ((NO…))

The next day. Her relationship with Yomi is a bit awkward but they behaved the same as usual. While she’s heading home from school she tells Yomi she left something at school. Yomi insists to come with her since Guren could show up at any time, but Rin insists saying it’ll be fine.

Once she arrives back at school she meets Guren there. Rin says she’s decided she’ll go with Guren but with one condition. Guren must return all the women he had kidnapped. Guren agrees and tells her he’ll return one women per day after erasing their memory of what happened. So in exactly one week she’ll come with him. He’s glad she’s come to an understanding but warns her if she betrays or speaks to anyone about this he’ll kill both Uta and Yomi. Rin agrees saying she definitely won’t run away. This is all to protect Yomi after all.

Once she goes back she sees Yomi who was apparently waiting for her. Yomi says Gin would’ve gotten mad if he left her but she thanks him anyway. Rin then tells Yomi she thinks the village is really wonderful. Yomi wonders whats up with her but she says she’s always felt that way. She says she’s really happy she came here and met him and the others. He replies “I see” while blushing a little and they walk silently home together.

Since Rin has exactly a week, days begin to past as Rin spends each day to her fullest. The first day she eats meals together with everyone, the second day she plays volleyball at school with Yomi, the third day her and Yomi go shopping together and are mistaken as a couple again. On the forth day people start to notice that the women are suddenly appearing day by day. On the fifth day Rin has dinner with everyone and starts to feel sad that she won’t be able to cherish the taste of the food anymore. On the sixth day she watches the Cherry Blossom tree with Yomi. And on the seventh day all the women were “mysteriously” returned which confused both Kami-sama and Gin. Though when asked to Rin about it she lied saying she didn’t get it either.

That night she tells Yomi she wants to speak him. She thanks him for everything until now. She says he’d always helped her when she arrived to this village. She thanks him again and Yomi asks why she’s acting so strange all of a sudden. Rin says she’s always been a bit strange, but he says he knows she is but recently she’d been more strange than usual. She’s absentminded and then suddenly cheerful. Rin says its probably because Yomi dumped her. She tells him again that she loves him and hopes he hadn’t already forgotten that. She tells him her feelings hadn’t changed and she still loves him.

Yomi is troubled by this and doesn’t know how to answer. Rin says its okay and he doesn’t have to say anything. She just wanted to let him know that much. He asks if she’s really okay and she says she is and that there’s probably a better person out there for him anyway. She knows he’s a lonely person but he’s also really kind too. Rin then takes Yomi’s hand and says its really warm. He says its probably because hers are cold. He said so curtly but didn’t shake off her hand. She then released her hand and said thats all she wanted to talk about. She told him goodnight and Yomi is left there dumbfounded.

The next night is her final night. Rin sneaks out and leaves a note giving her farewells. She leaves while giving thanks and meets with Guren outside the house. Just as she’s about to be taken away by Guren, Yomi screams out at them to wait. Apparently he noticed Rin wasn’t in her room and found the message she left. He yells at Guren to release her but Rin tells Yomi to stay away and that she’s going with Guren of her own free will. Guren explains that she’s to become his bride in return for him returning all the women he kidnapped and exchange for his life. In other words it was all to protect him. Yomi gets pissed off and tries to attack at Guren but is knocked back as he flies away with Rin back to the mountains.

Suddenly the atmosphere is completely different as she arrives at the mountains with Guren. Guren knows Yomi will surely appear again so Guren tells her he’ll dispose of Yomi. He said he’d leave him alone but now that he’s interfered with them he won’t allow him to live. Guren starts to get attracted to Rin’s troubled look at tries to kiss her but pushes Rin aside as a fast shadow springs at Guren. He avoids it but there stands Yomi yelling out that he’s found him as he holds a sword in his hand. He glares at Guren telling him to give Rin back. Soon they start brawling at each other and Yomi manages to get some hits in but is knocked fiercely back by Guren.

Rin tells Yomi to not worry about her and leave before Guren kills him. Yomi screams at Rin to be quiet. He came of his own free will and he’s not going to run away. He’s going to take her back with him. He tells her to be quiet and wait for him because he’s going to defeat this guy and go home. Soon after Guren gets fired up and pissed off and starts beating Yomi up. Just as he’s about to take the final blow Rin intervenes and is about to take the blow but suddenly a light shines and Yomi takes on a different form, or rather his true form. Rin sits up on top of Yomi in the form of a large beautiful beast. He didn’t know he could turn into such a form but it happened when he felt the need to protect Rin. He now feels much more powerful than before. Just as they’re clashing at each other Yomi finally loses his form and is about to get torn up by Guren. Though Rin intervenes and tells him to stop since there’s no point. She’s become his wife and that should be enough.

Yomi yells at her to move but she ignores him. Guren says he won’t over look even killing her if she doesn’t move but Rin says thats fine. If she can help Yomi in the process she doesn’t care about dying. He asks if he’s more important than her own life and she says he is. Yomi tells her to stop talking like that. She always does everything of her own free will and doesn’t ever listen to what he wants. He never asked to be protected by her. Rin tells him its because she wanted to live that she did all of that. But he tells her it doesn’t matter what she says because he’d hate it if she left because she’s important to him. He says this time he’s going to protect her and will never hand her over to him. \(*T▽T*)/

So after a long hearted speech, unexpectedly Guren clicks his tongue saying he’s given up on Rin and if Yomi wants her he can have her. He tells them if she’s fallen in love with someone else it’d just be boring and he’d never be able to make her fall for him. He thinks its ridiculous the two of them would end up together so he completely gave up and left. (屮゜Д゜)屮 ((OKAY???))

After he left Yomi and Rin are kinda left there dumbfounded and Yomi walks over to Rin and slaps the girl and scolds her for not telling him anything and doing everything on her own.

image

They both embrace and start crying together. Rin says it was all to protect him of course but Yomi says he’d hate it if she got hurt. He tells her not to worry about him because he’ll protect her instead. She sobs in his arms saying she doesn’t care if he’s an Ayakashi because she still loves him. She knows he’ll be alone someday since she’s a human but she still wants to be with him. Yomi tells her he loves her too. He tells her he wants to become a human so he can live with her and die with her together. He wants the live for the moment with her. Rin says its fine if they can’t live at the same pace as each other. She wants to be with him until she grows old and dies. Yomi tells her because they’re together now she needs to live a nice long life and she says she will. They then kiss and Yomi tells Rin he’s glad he was able to meet her. She can’t live forever with him but she’ll spend all the time she has with him. (❁´▽`❁)

BEST END
——-

With Rin and Yomi together now their relationship is a little awkward at first but are able to get closer by each day. Its a Sunday evening and Rin and Yomi are sleeping on the floor together. Rin then wakes up and tells Yomi to get up since they need to prepare dinner but he’s all reluctant and keeps sleeping.

image

Rin then decides to be all sneaky like and kiss his forehead. (ノ*゜▽゜*)

He immediately jumps up blushing in the process. Yomi gets all flustered and pouts cause she got a surprise kiss on him so he decides to  give her surprise by pulling her arm and kissing her.

On March 9th Yomi and Rin decided they’d go see the Cherry Blossoms on the mountain together. Rin doesn’t really know why she wanted to go there but had some unexplained reason it. They hold hands while walking up the mountain.

Once there they see the Cherry blossoms but are blinded by a strange light. Rin doesn’t understand it but suddenly starts to feel sad as she watches the Cherry Blossoms. Before long the light disappears and it returns to normal. Yomi stands there shocked with various emotions on his face. Rin notices a tear fall from his face and then he starts calling out to Rin hugging her and crying.

He starts saying he had already died long ago and Rin is really confused. He’s suddenly relieved saying she’ll be able to live properly. Rin says she is living since she’s here right now. Yomi says she’s right and Rin asks whats going on and he tells her not to worry about it. They both admire the tree and Yomi says someday there’ll come a time where she understands. It may not be a good thing since she may feel sad but its definitely okay because if its her she’ll be able to take it properly. Yomi hugs her again and Rin thinks if thats the case then its fine now. She now only think of the future she has with Yomi.

“I love you.
“I love you, too.”

GOOD END
——
Rin and Yomi started dating but not much has changed and everyday is peaceful as usual. One day while Rin’s returning home Guren randomly appears. Rin thought he was hostile but apparently he’d just come to have a meal at their shop. Gin greets him as a guest and he enjoys a meal there. He feels its unfortunate Rin rejected him and asks her again but she refuses saying she’s going out with Yomi after all. He asks when they’re going to marry and Rin’s all “Marriage?! That’s too sudden…” She’d like to someday but hasn’t thought about it.

Just then Yomi returns home and flips the heck out asking why the hell he’s here. Rin tells him he’s only here to eat a meal but Yomi doesn’t see how Rin can be so trusting of him. Guren makes a comment saying a man’s jealousy is an ugly thing. He then says he’ll be taking his leave and gives thanks for the meal.

Once he leaves Yomi asks to talk to Rin in another room to talk to her. He asks why she’d speak so casually with someone like him after all he’s done. He was worried he was going to take her again. Rin tells him its okay because she’s not going anywhere. Yomi says he knows but he can’t help but feel uneasy about it. Rin says she’ll be careful next time and Yomi quietly calls her an idiot while hugging her gently. She thinks Yomi has gotten a lot happier recently and it makes her happy as well. He tells her thats what he should be saying and he feels the same way.

She thanks him for loving him and kisses him. Yomi gets all flustered and Rin says she loves him. Yomi quietly says he loves her too.

BAD END

[[This is when Guren is about to make a last killing strike at Yomi and Rin intervenes. But Yomi doesn’t transform in the end]]

At the moment where Guren is about to kill Yomi, Rin steps in. Yomi screams her name and gets in front of her taking the blow. Rin helplessly holds Yomi on her lap and he struggles to speak.

image

He tells her about the Snow Fairy and mentions that back then he thought it was ridiculous she’d give up her own life for someone. But now he thinks he understands why she did it now. He thinks it’d be better if she lived. Rin starts sobbing and apologizing for doing something so selfish. And he weakly tells her he’s sorry for not being able to protect her and making her cry. All too soon, Yomi dies in her arms. Guren asks if she’s done and with Rin in despair she decides to pick up the sword Yomi had left. He wonders what she intends to do and Rin tells him she’s not his. And brings the knife to her neck saying she’ll be with Yomi soon and then it fades to red. (」゜ロ゜)」((some Romeo and Juliet stuff right here))

After words it shows Gin and Kami-sama. They looked for Rin and Yomi all over but couldn’t find them. They also heard a rumor that there was a wedding ceremony at the Tengu’s hometown. The bride was like a doll with no heart that didn’t move or smile.

FINAL THOUGHTS:

Ah, this summary was so long. I really enjoyed Yomi’s route anyhow. I wasn’t sure who my favorite character would be but I kinda always thought I’d like Yomi and he I am now liking him the best. I can’t really judge since I haven’t played all the routes yet but Yomi is pretty much a tsundere so I wasn’t all that surprised I ended up really liking him. The only thing I was “meh” about was the way Guren was handled. He was kinda like “oh fuck since you love each other i guess i gotta go” so it felt pretty rushed. I guess that just means that Yomi wasn’t meant to get the typical “heartfelt-speech-and-then-sudden-power-that-kills-the-enemy” sort of thing. Rather, in the good ending Guren was chill with everyone. Eh, I guess I would’ve preferred him killing him or something.

The best end kinda confused me though when he said “he had already died”. I read you need to complete Asagi’s route to understand it and I’m just kinda thinking “what so did Asagi do some magic and made a him reborn as a human??” idk. I’ll have to revise that after I complete all the routes. Anyway props to Yuki Kaji and his yelling skills. He always manages to sound so angry and upset during the intense scenes.

  1. I quite like his route too but as I thought I prefer Asagi’s one :3
I wonder how you manage to play bad ends… I didn’t do them for any characters (except Asagi because I felt sooo bad when I saw the CG that it actually made me want to play it..) I just can”t bear it, it’s too sad ! 😥

    1. Yeah, Yomi was my absolute favorite out of all the routes!~ But Asagi’s was really sweet too (ღ˘⌣˘ღ) Haha, I don’t blame you. Yomi’s ending was pretty depressing. And him and Asagi are the only ones with bad end CGs. But yeah the bad ends are really sad but I’m a completionist when it comes to otome games and I feel the need to do every possible scene heh (✿´‿`)

  2. Haha that’s true that Yomi is so precious…His after scenario was so cute too :3 Beside, I find it great that he didn’t wear his eye patch, because I can tell “Yeaaaah it’s real~~~ (♡´౪`♡) ” Yeah I want to complete all the game too but my heart can’t bear it… I mean I still feel so depressed with Asagi 😥 That’s why I look for sole reviews to at least know what’s happen in Bad ends, so thank you and good job for writting all of this 😉
