喧嘩番長乙女 Kenka Bancho Otome – Konparu

Konparu (CV: Shouta Aoi) is the calm and level headed of the group. He has a lot of siblings and his dream is to become a professional martial arts fighter. His dad passed away in a car accident and it’s been only him, his mother, and his younger siblings. So by becoming a pro fighter, be can reduce the burden of his mother by gaining money and she doesn’t have to work so much.

So there’s a coffee chain thats the hype right now but Konparu and Hinako never been so Totomaru makes a huge fuss over it. So they go there after school but Totomaru and Konparu aren’t able to make it through the crowd of girls. So Hinako goes inside and ends up buying a pink chocolate strawberry berry iced latte since everything else was sold out. Totomaru can’t imagine men like them sipping on a pink drink together LOL. Unfortunately Hinako accidentally bumps into a pissed off yankee, with her drink spilling on him. He gets pissed and a fight almost breaks out so they make a run for it. They end up fighting anyway and surround Hinako at one point before she kicks their asses.

So the school trip is coming up but Konparu isn’t going since he has to take care of his siblings. Konparu asks Hinako if she can watch over his siblings while he does some training. She doesn’t mind at all even though he feels like it’s a huge hassle for her. Suddenly Konparu gets a phone call and tells Hinako something came up so she should go home. Apparently his brother got into a traffic accident. He’s at the hospital but his other siblings hadn’t come back yet. Hinako tells him to go to the hospital and she’ll wait for his siblings to come back.

So when he goes to the hospital he finds out his little brother needs an operation but that of course means medical expenses. Konparu is clearly anxious over this, but tells Hinako his brother is doing fine right now. He also brings up doing morning exercises with her and so the next morning they get up really early to do so. They do them for a while but Konparu stsrts skipping class to work his part time jobs or visit his brother at the hospital. Eventually he stops coming to school completely and guys start getting worried about him.

So after Hinako visits his brother, she decides to tail Konparu and see what sort of part time job he’s doing. He follows him into this underground wlarea that she even needs a keycard for. She ends up beating up some guy and taking it from him. So what she finds is a boxing ring and Konparu fighting another guy with people illegally betting on them. There’s no referee though and they just neabt each other senseless until unconscious. Hinako realizes how dangerous it is and also why Konparu had bruises on him while training with her.

So the next day Hinako confronts Konparu about the illegal fights he’s been doing. He of course just tells her it’s not her business and that he won’t stop because he’s doing it of his own will. Hinako says it does involve her and tells him he won’t become a world champion this way let alone beat the rookie championship. This ticks Konparu off and he asks what she expects him to do. He’s willing throw away his dreams for the sake of earning much money as he can for his little brother. She tells him that he can’t give up his dreams but he’s just like nope I’ve made my decision and this is the quickest way to make money.

The next time Hinako visits Konparu’s brother, he tells her he over heard his mother talking with the doctor and that his surgery would take a lot of money. She tells him not to worry so much and that his mother and brother are doing their best to help him and he’s not to blame. So Hinako starts talking with everyone to try and come up with a way to make money. Although the only logical thing to do it seems to for everyone to get a part time job. Hinako encounters Konparu one night and begs him to at least come back to school. He says he’ll think about it but won’t make any promises. Regardless he does end up finally coming back to school since he claimed he was free and studied along with Hinako and Totomaru.

One day Hinako gets a message from Hikaru to work at a tea cafe where you have to crossdress to serve people. So since Hinako is the only one who looks good in a uniform, she’s the one who ends up “cross dressing” to serve customers. The rest of the group work in the kitchen or clean. So over time Hinako manages to get really popular at the cafe, enough for girls to go gaga over her. One day they want her to walk them outside the shop but end up going all the way to the station and won’t let her leave. Hinako is like “fuck this” and tells them she’s cold in the outfit she’s wearing and wants to leave. Theu start chasing her down (like holy shit these are hardcore fangirls) but thankfully Konparu pulls her into an allyway and hells her out. He puts his jacket over her since she’s still wearing her cafe uniform.

So Hinako and the others finally get their pay for working at the cafe. Hinako decides to give it to Konparu the next day at school. But of course, he refuses to accept it. It’s then Hinako decides to kick his ass so he’ll take it. And since she won their match, he finally accept the money with appreciation to her and everyone else. With that, he finally quits the illegal fighting he’s been doing. And he’s able to pay for the sugery for his little brother. So for Christmas Hinako decides to bring cake at the hospital and eat it together with Konparu’s family. When they get back to his place it’s pretty late so he suggests she stay the night lol.

That night, her bind she uses to hide her chest is really uncomfortable since she ate so much cake. So she decides to take it off and put it on in the morning before Konparu can wake up. And low and behold, Konparu comes in to sleep in thr room she’s in since his brothers are keeping him up. He tells her he appreciates everything she’s done and that she really is amazing. She starts feeling bad for keeping her identity a secret and isn’t able to sleep much. Hence why she sleeps in and Konparu has to wake her up. Unfortunately, she didn’t get to put on her bind. So while wrapped herself around her blanket, she tried to grab the phone from Konparu. As she did, she fell on him and her boobs well… You know. She wasn’t sure if he felt them though and thought “well thankfully my boobs are small” lol. He acts normal but says he’s going to go out for a run.

From there on out its been awkward between Hinako and Konparu. So he finally decides to ask why she dressed up as a guy and went to Shishiku. She then explains her situation to him about how she was posing as Hikaru and it’s family tradition for them to attend that school but he didn’t want to because he can’t fight. She apologizes for deceiving him but he tells her he understands, he just thought she was a guy the whole time and doesn’t know how to talk to her now that he knows she’s a girl. He gets all embarrassed and its really cute lol. He always says he’ll still train with her but won’t be doing the wrestling type stuff LOL ((I guess cause he’d technically be pressed against her boobs??)).

So the next day they practice fighting and Konparu gets overly worried he hurt Hinako be she’s all “nope im fine man”. So he visits the hosptial again and the doctor claims they still can’t do the surgery and need more money. He goes back to the underground boxing area but remembers that he promised not to go back. But one of the guys tries to convince him saying he’ll make three times more he was making before if he fights one more match. This conflicts him and so he confides in Hinako and Totomaru. She supports him in his decision as long as it’s the last tine he fights there and he wins.

Totomaru starts getting suspicious though and believes there’s somesort of conspiracy going on at the hospital Konparu’s brother is at. The amount of money they want for the surgery seems too high. And there’s also the fact a black car was seen around the hospital. Which is what Konparu’s brother remembers when getting hit. So during his final match he struggles to beat this really big guy but thanks to Hinako cheering him on, he’s able to win. Just as he wins though one of the guys chase after them so they make a run for it.

The moment they’re alone, Konparu goes ahead and confesses his feels. He expressed that she’s an important person in his life and that he’s fallen for her. Hinako has no clue how to respond but says he likes him too. Well, that’s enough for him apparently. Just before they get ラブラブ any longer, Hinako’s phone rings, ruining the mood lol. Apparently he spotted the black car that hit Konparu’s brother near the hospital. So Hinako and Konparu go to check it out. When they get to the hospital, they’re confronted by the owner. Apparently the accident with Konparu’s brother was a ploy to lure Konparu into the illegal fighting place and so he’d earn lots of money which wasn’t even for the surgery. Konparu tries to make sure Hinako escapes but they end up saying “fuck this shit” and stun gun the both of them.

So Konparu is forced to fight in the arena. Konparu wins for the most part but then one of the guys holds Hinako hostage to try and force Konparu to lose. But Hinako is all “fuck this” she ain’t gonna be no one’s damsel in distress cause she kicked the shit out of them and joined Konparu in the fight. The owner pulls a knife though qnd Konparu whacks it out of his hands. Soon help arrives and the others come just in time. And so, Konparu gets hospitalized for a while so his injuries heal. His brother was checked by another doctor and apparently his injury wasn’t even all that serious and he can walk and run fine now.

While on the school roof Konparu sneaks behind Hinako. He tells her he doesn’t think they should continue training and blushes saying he’s never heard of a guy training with his girlfriend lol. She’s all “oh so I’m your girlfriend?” and he tells her “so your dressed up as a guy does that make you my boyfriend?” LOL. He finally gives her a real confession and asks her to go out with him and she accepts. He kisses her and he says as long as he’s with her, he’ll keep becoming stronger.

It’s honestly essentially the same as the love route except Konparu doesn’t find out she’s a girl and they stay friends. Basically, the surgery is put off because Konparu needs more money. He promised he wouldn’t fight illegally anymore but Hinako is okay with it just this once since it’s the last time and for the sake of his brother. So when Hinako goes to the arena she finds Konparu fighting but even when losing, he still attacks him. So Hinako gets up on stage and beats the shit out of the guy and the two make a run for it. They meet the owner at the hospital and he explains his whole evil plans to them. After trying to escape, he stuns both of them.

When they wake up they’re back at the arena. They’re forced to fight each other and go all out since they’ve practiced fighting so many times already. Konparu then lets himself get pinned down but Hinako can’t do it any longer and stops. Thankfully though, Houou and the others arrive to help. They catch the owner who ran away and Konparu was literally dodging bullets before snatching the gun out of his hand lmao. So as time passes Konparu’s fighting in an actual legit arena with everyone cheering him on ((tbh his friendship end was pretty copy-pasta so it was kinda boring)).

Thoughts: Okay so Konparu is apparently his last name but I don’t hear him called by his first name so whatever. Anyway, I kinda had a feeling I’d really like his route cause he’s just a serious kuudere who can’t handle girls lmao. Best love moments with him are pretty much when he finds out she’s a girl and doesn’t even know how to respond to her lol. Only complaint is I was left wanting more than what I got. I guess it makes sense cause half of the route he doesn’t even know she’s a girl but, the friendship route was kinda half-assed cause it was copy-pasta galore. But I feel like the CGs could be better (though it doesn’t help like half of his CGs are in the common route). Regardless Konparu is a cutie-pie and that made up for it.
