Re:Birthday Song ~ Translation Project ~ UPDATE [MARCH]

updates2

I’m sorry it’s been a long time since an update! These past months have been very busy for me. I’ve been working non-stop and the free time I get I like to spend it playing otome games or relaxing, haha (when I’m not translating that is). Anyway, onto the updates. This’ll be quick, since there’s nothing too major to cover here.

Common – [34/82 scripts] (41%) [insertion: 20%]
Ame – [46/46 scripts] (100%) [insertion: 100%]
Kairi – [38/38 scripts] (100%) [insertion: 100%]
Yoru – [59/59 scripts] (100%) [insertion: 5%]
Syun – [46/46 scripts] (100%) [insertion: 100%]
Nami – [3/46 scripts] (6%) [insertion: 0%]
Omake – [0/5 scripts] (0%) [insertion: 100%]

Overall (rough) translation completion percentage: 70%

Also, reminder to those interested in playing this, I WILL NOT TOLERATE NOR AM I ADVOCATING PIRACY WHATSOEVER. So here’s some good news for you all, you can now import certain games on Amazon JP now. So, if you want to play this when I complete the patch please BUY THE GAME. This would be about $65 USD through amazon which is pretty cheap considering. Anyways, thanks for the support but just know updates won’t be that frequent. I just thought I should write up a quick one.

  1. KLSDFDKFHAKJSDF YAYYYY you’re getting so close!
I think I’ll order the game now, I’m just too ecstatic to be able to play this and understand what’s going on! Thank youuuuuuuu :3

    • Yeah, translation is more or less almost complete. After that, it’s just insertion and more editing. And I totally encourage it! Thankfully Honeybee’s games are still available for pre-order on Amazon. Unfortunately, Otomate’s games are region blocked again. Anyway, Thank you for your support!

  2. Thank you so much for the update! I’ve been excitedly following you and your updates for awhile now. Thank you and everyone that might be helping for doing this!

    • You’re welcome. Thanks for the constant support! It’s the encouragement and kind comments that really keep these sort of projects going! ;w; And thank you on my team’s behalf!

  3. It’s so nice that there are people like you in this world that are willing to do this kind of thing for free, for everyone who cannot read and struggle to comprehend Japanese like me, who has attempted to learn several times but each and every time, I just become more confused and frustrated. I want to be able to learn eventually, but I need to do it when I can say for sure that I will sit down and concentrate until the very end when I have learned to read Japanese at least on an average level. Until that day comes, thank you very much for all the hard work you have put in, and if I can purchase the actual game off of Amazon from where I am then I will do that as soon as I have enough money together.

  5. Thank you for all that you’re doing so far on the project! ❤ ❤

    I have a question regarding purchasing the game. Would you happen to know another website that will ship Re:Birthday Song overseas? The Amazon link says 「国外配送の制限: この商品は、日本国外にお届けすることができません。」 Thank you. ;-;

    • Really? Is the site set to english & is it this one? http://amzn.to/1Y9Te7i

Because it will allow international shipping for that one. I tested it by adding it to my cart and normally it won’t allow me progress any further than the checkout if it can’t ship internationally. Unless it won’t specifically ship to your country, which I’m not sure where the limitations are for that.

On the top of my head what does sell it is ebay, nippon yasan, comicomi studio. Which aren’t the worse alternatives it’s just shipping can be a bit pricey.

      • Ah, it does work! It says it on the exact link you put up too, but I can check it out…? Well, I’m just happy it works. :>

Thank you very much for the fast and informative response!! (^o^)/<3

  6. Oh yes thank you so muuuuuch for this!! I got lucky and found a copy of the game!! NOW I CANT WAIT FOR THIS TO COME OUT 🙂 THANK YOU

  7. Hello, I’m sorry to bother you, but are you going to update everyone on this game only when the translation is complete, or has progress just been really slow and so you figure there’s no point in a progress report yet? I know you’re probably busy with your life and your own problems, and I hate to intrude, but I’m just wondering on what’s been happening since it’s been around 6 months and you’ve yet to mention anything about it. ^.^; I’m really excited to play this game, and the fact that you are translating it is great in my opinion!

    • No, that’s fine I understand if people are still curious. But to let you know, progress is still being made, slowly but surely. If you want an estimated percentage, it’s about 85% done in terms of completion. Truthfully, once it’s fully translated, literally it just needs to be proofread and programmed. As you said, I haven’t made an update since it’s not too much progress from before, but I’m definitely still working on it! Thanks for your support!

  8. Hello! I don’t mean to bother you but thank you for translating this game! I see a lot of other translators translate a part of something and everyone gets really excited, but then they just disappear XD. So thank you for taking the time to translate this and share it with others.

  9. Hello! I bought this game in japan and I haven’t started playing it yet and I stumbled upon your blog. I am so ecstatic that you are translating this! ^o^ Can’t wait to play it too and I can understand more yay! ;w;!
